Mindful Monday Nights - Weekly Meditation
Time: 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm, every Monday.
Location: NCC sanctuary.
Description: Join us for 75 minutes of guided meditation, compassion practice, insight meditation (sitting and walking), Dharma talks, and Q&A. Led by mindfulness teachers Dr. Michele McCormick, Maya Dunne, and others. Suitable for both experienced and beginning meditators. Dress comfortably in layers, bring socks, cushions (if available), and (non-plastic) water bottles.
Donation: Please contribute $20 (or what you can afford) to support Neighborhood Congregational Church in hosting these sessions.
Tibetan Art Class In Laguna, with special guests Drepung Loseling Monks!
Date: May 30 to June 2.
Location: Neighborhood Congregational Church.
Description: Join Tibetan artist Yeshi Dorjee and Drepung Loseling monks for four days of artistic and spiritual exploration. Learn about geometry and mandala creation from Yeshi Dorjee, renowned for his expertise in painting thangkas. Witness the creation of colorful sand mandalas by the visiting monks, participate in building them, ask questions, and take photos. The sand mandalas will be dispersed daily as a reminder of impermanence. Don't miss this unique artistic and cultural opportunity.
