This Sunday, we continue our reflections on the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 14:22-33with a look at Peter's curious invitation to walk on water! "Take courage." Jesus speaks this to his friends who cry out in fear, thinking that they are seeing a ghost. Their ride has been frightening because of the waves and the wind battering their boat. Then they see something strange in the dark. I believe the Holy One has a bold word in store for you and me, for all who have experienced fear at any point their lives. Let us gather this Sunday to celebrate the Holy One's unending presence in our lives!
