9-28-14: Gratitude Or Grumbling

Scripture: Exodus 16:2-15; 17:1-7

Although God provides everything we need to live, we always seem to find something to complain about. In Exodus, the whole congregation complains of hunger and thirst, bemoaning how much better life was better back as slaves in Egypt! Yet even in the face of their wilderness moaning and complaining, God responded faithfully—providing quail in the evening, bread of heaven in the morning, and water from a rock. God will be God, showering blessings upon us, even when we complain; perhaps, especially when we complain. God is faithful, will we be? Will we choose grumbling or gratitude to our situation in life?

See you Sunday!

Yours on the journey,
