Ann Balasuriya founded the Montessori School of Laguna Beach in 1975, with just five children. Forty years later the school has grown to enrich the lives of thousands of children. It has been a fabulous journey serving the needs of the community here in Laguna Beach.

We believe that every child is entitled to a gifted program, where learning unfolds spontaneously and a child is able to realize their full potential so that he may lead his life with happiness, confidence and compassion.

The success of the school is the result of the quality of our program, the mature professional staff that we choose, and the realization that your children deserve the greatest respect, loving care, and professional guidance in their development.

The School serves children ages 2-6 years of age; The programs includes a pre-primary prep program for 2-3 years of age and pre-primary program for 3-6 years of age that includes the kindergarten program as well.
